Drop in Tutoring

The basic idea behind the Drop In Tutoring Session was to provide a time and place where a student could find me and get just the help they need on an emergency basis.  In order to do this, I have set aside Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings.  During this time I'm in the Kirkland Library. The trick will be finding me there.  The fast way to find me is to call my cell before you come down to the Library.  I'll tell you if I'm busy and where I've set up for the evening.

The way it works is much like a one on one session.  The student asks questions and works on problems until they are satisfied that they have mastered the troubling item.  The trick is that I can't promise that I will be instantly available at a particular time.  (Hey, how bad could it be your student is in the library after all!)  I promise to get to everybody who shows up even if it means adjorning to St. James Espresso when the library closes.

The advantage is two fold, first the rate is reduced and there is no minimum time slot.
